You know what? I'm really dumb. I made that pie and we cleaned the apartment and everything was ready for my uncle's visit. He didn't show up and I was so tired that I lay down for a second and woke up hours later. Then I checked my mail and realized that he'll be here next Thursday and everything is incorrect. At least the apartment is clean.

And I got the silly credit card bill. If my paycheck today is more than twenty dollars - don't laugh, it might come close - then I'll have enough to cover it. I miss my weekly chicken sandwich with cheese from Burger King. Yesterday, Kyle and I went to the store and bought bacon and chorizo and tortillas for chicken sandwiches and rotel and delicious chorizo omlettes. And I can't believe it, because Chuck Palahniuk will be in town on Tuesday and if I go then I fail a class. I'd really, really like to go, or at least get someone else to go and get Lullaby signed for me, but showing up for a signing is a lot of work and waiting and apparently none of my friends have even heard of Chuck Palahniuk and so I'm out of luck. I'd really like to go myself, though. (Oh, he'll be in Oakland on Sunday. You should go, boy in Oakland. AND GET LULLABY SIGNED FOR ME. I'll pay you back for the book and make you dinner, that's a deal right there.)

It seems funny, the rock star kind of life of really popular writers. Palahniuk is on this tour going absolutely everywhere to just read and sign. That's something I really wouldn't mind doing. There probably aren't as many porn stars involved in a book tour as in a rock tour. Likely twice the alcohol, though. I have not yet read Lullaby.

No work tonight, but then I work three evenings in a row. I'm going to make a cake for Matt's party, which is being held at my house. Hopefully I won't miss all of it, working late. There will be so many people there, I wonder if I should make two cakes? Or perhaps make a cake and then buy a cake? Nah, there will be enough freeloaders freeloading, Matt can take half the cake and I'll take the other half and everyone else can just starve out in the snow. So there's the party tomorrow night, and then I work on Sunday and then school again. Okay, I guess I can do that.
